Stivo Simple Boy Takes Churchill Around Kibra, Reveals He Is Dating

Artist Stivo Simple Boy has shed more light on the happenings in his life. The soft-spoken artist, officially known as Stephen Otieno hails from Siranga area of Kibra.

The Vijana Tuache Mihadarati hitmaker revealed more about his life in an interview on the Churchill Show’s My Story series.

Before venturing into music, the artist was engaged in a number of jobs, including construction, famously known as mjengo. While working in construction he would rap for his co-workers who would make fun of him. This would, however, encourage him to follow his passion even more.

He would later land an interview at Ebru TV courtesy of the Chipukeezy Show, where he first sang Vijana Tuache Mihadarati. This led to Geoffrey Oyoo spotting him.

Oyoo is a one time winner of Churchill’s Top Comic, who also hails from Kibra. He then nurtured Stivo Simple Boy’s talent and from there his star would only continue to shine.

Simple Boy adds that as an artist he hasn’t been spared from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. He is thereby engaged in other business ventures, including selling his merchandise, as well as event organizing. This is an effort to make ends meet.

Newfound Love

The artist further revealed that he is dating a lady by the name of Fridah, who is also from Kibra. Simple Boy says they met by the roadside. He explains that she caught his attention and was compelled to tell her how he felt.

Nimekuzimia na tena nimedata…

They would then exchange contacts and would continue to keep in touch.

Simple Boy goes on to add that he has been in contact with Fridah’s brother who has given him his approval. His brother asked Stivo not to break her sister’s heart.

Bora tu usiwe mbwa mwitu, leo uko na huku kesho na kule…

The couple are looking forward to being officially wedded, though citing the pandemic as being a factor in deciding an official date.

Walk Around The Hood

During the interview, Simple Boy takes Churchill around the streets of Kibra where they get to sample some street food. They endeavor to see how much food they can buy with Ksh. 100. In the end, it seemed to be more than Churchill could chew, lol.
