This Love Ya Wahu Na Nameless: Awesome Tunes, Brilliant Concept

Kenya’s favorite celebrity couple is back and this time they’re definitely making people talk. Nameless and Wahu’s latest project is called This Love.

However, what makes this project stand out is that it’s actually two different videos. This Love Ya Wahu was released by Wahu while This Love Ya Nameless was released by Nameless.

Chill, let me explain.

A Brilliant Concept

The concept’s aim was to show the different faces of love that people in relationships go through. While some experience happiness and enjoy their partner’s company, others can’t stand their significant other’s presence.

In This Love Ya Wahu ‘s video, Wahu is portrayed as a happy woman in a relationship. She is also a songstress. Her partner is played by Bien from Sauti Sol who acts as a bartender. Bien also plays the guitar.

The two enjoy each other’s company at home and at some point Wahu sings along to Bien’s guitar tunes. Their love is still shown when the couple goes to the club and they can’t keep their eyes off each other.

This Love Ya Nameless is a contrast to the one by Wahu. In the video, Nameless is seen as a frustrated man. His partner is played by Chiki Kuruka, who is Bien’s wife. The atmosphere at home is tense, with Nameless keeping an eye out for his partner who’s holding a knife while cutting the groceries.

The couples go to the same club and this is where the 2 videos intertwine. At some point Bien serves Chiki while Wahu and Nameless briefly cross paths, though unaware of each other.

Toward the end of both videos, Wahu and Nameless can be seen at the counter, one celebrating and the other drowning in sorrow.

Using Bien and Chiki as partners to Wahu and Nameless was an aspect that contributed to the brilliance of the project.

Both videos were produced by Shakira Nassali and directed by Nameless and VJ One.

The videos however share the same instrumentals. Their audios were produced by Cedo and mixed and mastered by Lucas Bikedo from Ogopa. Brandon Israel was involved in writing both songs.
