Kitengela Woman Murders Child: What We Know So far 

Olivia Naserian, a  24 years old and a Fourth Year Commerce student at a local university is alleged to have killed her child after she parted with the minor’s father. Documents filed in court allege that Ms. Naserian dismembered Glory Njeri on Sunday at their house in Kitengela’s Milimani estate before consuming her internal organs.

Naserian stabbed the baby multiple times while singing hymns. The mother had locked herself and the baby inside the house. However, the neighbors were unable to gain entry and could only look on helplessly from the outside as the woman stabbed the kid.

When the neighbors finally broke down the door and entered the house, the young mother had passed out and the toddler was already dead. The suspect went unconscious following the grisly murder and awoke on Monday at Kitengela Hospital.

Naserian said that their split from the child’s father had an impact on her. The man who left her and later married another woman. She attacked her child out of frustration and stabbed her more than 100 times.

According to a neighbor, the 24 year old was chanting some words while committing the heinous act.

“You will never cry again my baby…you will forever sleep. I love you, my daughter.”

In a statement to the media, she admitted to hurting her own kid. She said that her actions were motivated by a strong sense of contempt for herself and the excruciating suffering she had felt because of her child.

Kitengela Woman In Court: Why Wasn’t She Arrested Sooner?

Naserian was discovered unconscious by responding police officers who had managed to enter the house. While Naserian was transferred to Kitengela Sub-County Hospital, the child’s body was taken to the morgue. Naserian was made to vomit the purported body parts, which will be used against her in court.

Benson Mutia, the director of criminal investigations in Kitengela, declared that the admission would not stop the investigation and asked her to make a statement about it.

‘’We believe the court will give us more time to investigate this matter, we also want to establish whether this woman is normal or has a mental illness. What she did to her own baby is unexplainable,” – Mutia.

Wrapping Up: What Next for the Kitengela Woman that Murdered Child? 

On Tuesday morning, the accused appeared before Kajiado Principal Court Jane Kamau. The court lowered the number of days the suspect might be held by the police from 14 to 10. Naserian should show up for the hearing on May 8.

The occurrence was confirmed by outgoing Kitengela OCS David Shani, who also stated that the police are investigating whether the killing was premeditated.
