A fire that broke out at Kituro High School in Baringo Central has torched down 3 dormitories. The Thursday morning inferno destroyed property belonging to over 200 students residing in the dormitories.
All the dormitories razed were housing the school’s male students.
The single remaining dormitory was not sufficient enough to shelter all the students. This forced the administration to close down the school.
A similar incident was witnessed at the school 4 days ago, and investigations are underway to establish the cause of the fire.
Locals rushed to the school to witness the inferno and try to put it out. However, security officers at the school’s gate denied them entry.
Denied Entry
Parents also availed themselves at the school seeking answers from the school’s administration. They too were not allowed to enter the school premises.
