Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has dared Interior Principal Secretary to take him to court.
This is after the PS declared war on Sonko and vowed to sue him after Sonko mentioned Kibicho in some shocking claims.
PS Kibicho presented himself at the DCI, something which Sonko seemed well aware of.
“I therefore look forward to an invitation from the DCI to record my statement, and for the PS to move to court quickly so that I can table all the evidence I have for Kenyans to see and judge for themselves,” he added.
Sonko’s Claims
On Sunday, the former Nairobi Governor revealed that he and Kibicho organized chaos in Nairobi during the 2017 election campaigns. He was speaking at a function attended by Deputy President William Ruto in Dagoretti.
MY RESPONSE TO PS KARANJA KIBICHO
I've learned from reliable media reports that Interior PS @Karanjakibicho presented himself to the DCI ostensibly to record a statement, even without an invitation, after the revelations I made yesterday while addressing the public in Dagoretti. pic.twitter.com/UyKkYmhocj

Sonko claimed that they were part of the deep state which planned the violence.
“I want to reveal here that in 2017, I and Kibicho, together with the system, printed ODM T-shirts, bought second-hand cars, then burnt them on Ngong Road so as to be seen it was ODM supporters that had burnt them,” claimed Sonko.
The former governor had also associated Kibicho with the killing of the former Vice President George Saitoti. He claimed that plans were being hatched to kill him and the Deputy President William Ruto
The controversial politician said that he has evidence of a plot to assassinate former Prime Minister Raila Odinga back in 2017.
“I am also ready to table evidence of how the so-called deep state and system organized the attempted assassination of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in 2017, and how the same system financed the delivery of sewerage at the Jacaranda Grounds to prevent the then People’s President from holding a public rally,” he said.
He added that at the time he was the main mobilizer for the “system”. Sonko said that it was time to tell Kenyans and the world what happened during that time.
“The time has come when we must fix this country, and dismantle the so-called deep state that keeps misusing leaders to mobilize the youth for them,” he said.
Do you think Sonko is telling the truth? Do you think he has the damning evidence he claims to have?
